Chord Progression Builder
Drag chords into bars, hear them strummed, get key detection and next-chord suggestions.
Open Progression BuilderBuild a chord progression the way a songwriter actually writes — by ear, not theory. Drop chords into bars, play it back, and the tool tells you what key you're in, the Roman numeral analysis, and which chords are likely to sound good next.
How the suggestions work
After you place a chord, the tool looks at diatonic relationships (chords in the same key), common progressions from popular songs, and voice-leading proximity (chords that share notes). Top 3–4 candidates surface for each slot.
Genre presets
Pop: I–V–vi–IV (four-chord song). Blues: 12-bar shuffle. Jazz: ii–V–I. Country: I–IV–V variations. Reggae: off-beat emphasis patterns. Folk: I–vi–IV–V.
Capo calculator
Built in: "To play in B using open chord shapes, put capo on fret 4 and play as if in G." No more transposing by hand.
