व्रजेत्प्राणो विशेज्जीव इच्छया कुटिलाकृतिः। दीर्घात्मा सा महादेवी परक्षेत्रं परापरा॥
vrajet prāṇo viśej jīva icchayā kuṭilākṛtiḥ | dīrghātmā sā mahādevī parakṣetraṃ parāparā

प्राण बाहर जाता है और जीव (अपान) भीतर प्रवेश करता है, स्वेच्छा से, कुटिल (टेढ़ी) आकृति में; वह दीर्घ-आत्मा ही महादेवी है, परम क्षेत्र, परापरा।

The out-breath goes forth and the in-breath enters, of their own will, in a winding form; that long-extending one is the Great Goddess, the supreme field, the para-apara.
